Here comes a TV interview that makes me wish I had cable (or antennas): On PBS’ Tavis Smiley tonight, Van Jones is finally going to chat about his resignation as advisor to the the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
Jones, environmental justice activist and author of The Green Collar Economy (which I reviewed here), resigned after he was linked to a truther group called 911Truth.org. Here’s a clip from the PBS interview that will air tomorrow, in which Jones explains what happened:
Jones will also talk about his current work with the Center for American Progress and Princeton University — and about green jobs and economic recovery. Catch the interview on KCET at 7 pm tonight. Tomorrow, Jones will receive the NAACP President’s Award.

Jones is awesome! It’s great to see such righteous clarity at that level of government. It’s a shame he resigned from his position as council to the white house. I wish more politicians stood for truth, intelligence, and all that’s virtuous.
