Vote tomorrow, or eat peas

Posted by Siel in caffeine (Monday November 6, 2006 at 3:05 pm)

Saw this lil poster in a restroom at a bar somewhere — World Cafe maybe?

If you’re not voting, who’re you electing? Green Peas?

While it’s been exhausting doing all the research, I hope I’ve at least helped some of you Cali voters out there to make informed decisions tomorrow :)

Here, again, is how I’m voting for:

* State-level positions (including US Senator and Congressperson)

* Jucidial nominees

* State propositions

* City-level positions and measures (for Santa Monica)

Happy voting :)

  3. michael moore seems to be boiling down your hard work in finding out who are the best congress and senate candidates to vote for in two words: vote democrat. and he goes on to say that today is referendum about bush rather than election for senate and congress.

    is it one ballot or one pile of ballots to fill out?

  5. some tips if you’ve moved in LA County and haven’t re-registered:

    i’ve been a temporary employee the last 4 yrs for the LA County
    Registrar during early voting, so i have a pretty good idea how
    things run there.

    your friends are going to have a hard time getting through on the
    phone today , better to go to
    http://www.lavote.net

    if people didn’t get their sample ballot in mail, then they probably
    aren’t registered at their new address

    if they live fairly close to their old address , they can look up
    their old polling place online, and go vote there today (then they
    need to send in a new voter affadavit to switch address for next
    election)

    if they have moved far away, they can go to their new polling place,
    however they are probably going to have to vote provisionally there

    the time to do an address change passed 15 days ago

    i’m off to poll monitor for Byron De Lear for Congress and GET OUT THE VOTE all day in Van Nuys. Linda and I
    attended the training last night.
    come on out to the big party tonight if you can:

    7963 Van Nuys Blvd
    Panorama City

    cheers,

    Lisa
