Voting for the environment this June

Posted by Siel in feminist/politics,losangeles (Saturday June 3, 2006 at 10:04 am)

[Update, 6/6/06: Here's my voting list!]

I’m taking voting really, really seriously this year. Why? Salon names 5 ways individuals can fight global warming — and the top item on the list is “Vote for Change.”

But checking out the ballot for the June primaries, I have to say I’m really, really stressed out. Not only are there a lot of different positions to vote for, there’s a lot of conflicting info out there…

Still, I’ve only got 4 days to make a decision. Thus: I’m putting my choices out there, starting with the easier ones and working up to the harder ones.

As always, I’m willing to be convinced otherwise. Give me solid evidence that YOUR candidate of choice is really the person I should be voting for, and I may switch over — and of course, update the blog with info re: my new fave.

Please keep in mind that these June elections are primaries, and that I’m a registered democrat. No, I can’t vote for the Green party in these elections — They have rules about these things.

Here come my best preliminary decisions. ..
