[The kickoff post's here; dark red lines mark the streets I've walked so far]
Walking’s always a nice reliable semi cure-all. Bad moods, hangovers, general lethargy, panic — all get at least mitigated if you walk long enough –
Both California and Washington are residential streets through and through. The western ends have more apartment complexes, then the houses seem to get bigger and bigger, until they reach mansion-esque proportions by the time you hit Berkeley.
The knee isn’t doing any better, though I’ve downshifted to walking….
But I’m oddly discovering how much satisfaction I get from simply letting red lines slowly fill up a map –
Update, 5/22/07: Santa Monica Blvd.’s here.

Yeah, there’s something wonderful about checking things off a list, and even better when it has some sort of nice picture to go with it. That’s why I’ve got an elaborate spreadsheet to keep track of my progress on the novel. So I can watch the pie chart fill in and see the line graph climb.
