A twice-weekly sharing of eco-shwag.

GrassRoutes Oakland and BerkeleyPlanning to visit NoCal in 2010? Today’s freebie is a copy of GrassRoutes: Oakland & Berkeley, an urban eco-travel book series put together by Oakland resident Serena Bartlett.

This handy guide reveals the neighborhoody green knowledge that’ll let you get around town like a long-time do-gooder member of the local eco-community.You’ll find detailed profiles  bike shops in the area, welding classes offered at The Crucible, a tool lending library, and a whole lot more.

Read my review of Grassroutes: Oakland & Berkeley to find out more about the book, then comment by Tuesday to get into the drawing, which’ll happen Wednesday (more info on freebies here). US addresses only.

  2. I would love this book. I’ve been looking for local topics to write about for the new web site Oakland Local. (http://oaklandlocal.com) Most of my blog posts are not local to Oakland. Thanks for letting us know about these books.
