Wednesday freebies: LED Night Light Bulb

Posted by Siel in freebies (Wednesday December 12, 2007 at 8:21 am)

A twice-weekly sharing of eco-shwag.

I don’t actually get what night lights are for, but judging by the baby on the packaging of this night light, I’m guessing it has something to do with kids –

So if you have those, maybe you’d like a CC Bright Night LED Night Light Bulb too. 60,000-hour bulb life, and super energy efficient.

Comment or email by Friday to get into the drawing, which happens Saturday. US addresses only.

  1. Hi, I can tell you what night lights are for, unfortunately! My son sleeps with every light in his room on, literally. The desk lamp, the night stand
lamp and the overhead light in his room. We could really use this bulb. Thanks,Cindi

  2. Ditto that. My child pleads every night for us not to “turn on the shadows.” a night light would be helpful.

  3. I’m the one that needs the light in my family – so I don’t hurt myself going to my baby when he wakes up!

  4. I have a hallway in the center of my house which has no windows and is therefore pretty dark even during the day. We have an LED nightlight in there which really makes it easier to navigate (especially for my 84-year-old grandparents).

  5. oh, and I’m not entering the drawing.. just wanted to give an example of how I find a nightlight useful.

  6. That is so beautiful — The idea of turning on shadows, I mean –

  7. When all our lights are off at home at night, there is still lots of lights from outside because of all the street lights and light pollution outside. When we stay at a family’s home in the suburbs, my kids are scared of the dark.

  10. I am totally entering the drawing! We have a Jesus night light that was sent to us by Chuck Pahlaniuk (writer of Fight Club), of all people! Even thought we don’t worship Jesus, we think it’s cool that he lights up our bedroom so we don’t trip and kill ourselves on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. (I for one thinks he helps the male half of this partnership aim properly in the dark, but I’m just guessing… or hoping.) Anyway, we are down to our last regular incandescent lightbulb and I’d love to replace it with an LED that will last a lot longer. So yes, I’m entering even though I can’t contribute something as cute as “turning on the shadows” because I don’t have a kid!

    :-)
