I am just starting to use reusable tote bags. The trouble is remembering to bring them into stores.

A few weeks ago, I read that for some, reusable totes often cost the environment more than the paper or plastic option. The carbon footprint required to make them is pretty high, plus, many times people forget their bags at home. I'm sure this isn't the case with all reusable totes, but you brought up an interesting observation about this particular store and the cost factor versus the environmental factor. Hi, Not only does my family use these bags, but we try and give any gift that we give in a reusable bag. This past Christmas, everyone family member that we gave a gift received it in a reusable tote!
