Wanna know how you’ll look at 60? Get a 3D simulation of your older self from a website called ThatsMyFace. Upload front and side view pics of your face, and ThatsMyFace will put together a 3D composite — then show you how you’d look at 20, 40, or 60. (via Short Sharp Science)
So last night I took a bunch of bad too-close pictures of myself and tried it out! I’m pretty impressed with the app, which among other things, shows you how you’d look if you were born with a different ethnicity. Check out how cute I’d be if I were black!
Try it out yourself and share the photos — but make sure you use flash. I didn’t with my first try, and ThatsMyFace told me I’m not Asian. Yes, they actually gave me a -52% score for South-East Asianness (0% is negligible, 100% = South-East Asian, 200% = Very SE Asian, whatever that means), along with a 3D rendering of what I’d look like if I looked more SE Asian! With flash, I got a more realistic 151% score (“very pronounced Asianness”).
I also found out how I’d look if I were green LA guy. Below’s a vid so you can see how it all works.

So what did it think your ethnicity was sans flash?

I was in the negatives for all ethnicities sans flash.
