Just found this Siel

If the stain is dry try soaking the red wine in white wine to bleach it out. Finally, cover the stain with a thick baking soda paste, leave it for a few hours keeping it moist by spraying it with water from a spray bottle. Wash as normal.

Good luck...can't wait to hear if anything works...

Namaste

Well, dunno 'bout wine but Oxy Clean works on henna paste. Like, there was the time I did the "all white summer attire" party. Henna, at a party where everyone was wearing sparkly white summer attire. You do the math.

I eventually just wrote the words "Oxy Clean" on a napkin and set them out on the table for people to read when they'd come up to ask. *sigh* I believe that Trader Joe's might have an eco friendly version of that.

Good luck!

Just soak the whole shirt in red wine so that it all matches. Rinse and launder as usual.

Hi Siel

In my 1001 Natural remedies book it says:

Red win stains: using an absorbent towel, blot up as much of the wine as possible. Apply a thick layer of salt; leave on until the salt has absorbed the wine, and then rinse. Alternativly try soaking the stain with club soda.

I guess you have to do that as soon the wine spills though.

or Berry stains (which might work with wine I guess) it recommends:

Stretch the item over a large bowl and sprinkle with cream of tartar. Pour boiling water on to the stain abd continue until you have removed as much as possible. Run in a little vegetable glycerin and launder.

Good luck...let me know if anything works.

Namaste
