Zines gone green

Environmentalists hijack the magazine racks! About a week ago, I went into Barnes & Noble on Third Street Promenade for the first time in like a year so Yoshi and Sawa could check it out, and seriously — all sorts of mags have green issues on the cover.

TIME magazine’s cover was about eating the perfect apple — aka the organic vs. local debate.

Glamour magazine’s cover promises to tell you “The 10 easiet things you can do to help the planet” — and includes some of Summer’s stuff in its spread.

And even Los Angeles magazine‘s joined the green club, giving you “25 Ways to Go Green Without Going Insane

But beware of trying anything beyond these 25, or you may very well go insane :P

  1. Even The Economist recently featured a cover story on “The Greening of America.” That’s my signal that environmentalism is very much alive and well today.

  3. 944 magazine’s upcoming issue is ‘The Green Issue’, with items on green architecture, food, wine, restaurants and fashion. Out at the end of March.
